Woolpower 400 Long Johns Unisex

The Long Johns 400 are made using a circular knitting process, eliminating the need for longitudinal seams. The merino wool provides optimal temperature regulation due to its crimped structure. The air trapped between the fibers reduces heat exchange within the material and acts as insulation against incoming cold. These thicker garments are designed as a mid-layer to enhance thermal insulation between the close-fitting base layer and the outer layer, which is worn for protection against wind and moisture. They are particularly useful in lower temperatures or during less intense activities. The fabric is a knitted terry, with one side being smooth and the other consisting of terry loops. The airy terry loops, combined with the crimped structure of the wool, create a jersey knit that traps a significant amount of air, resulting in excellent insulation properties. The thicker the layer of air next to the body, the less body heat can escape.
