Product details
The new Shimano XTR, XT, and SLX 12-speed Hyperglide+ chains operate differently than the old 11-speed products from Shimano. Therefore, the Wolf Tooth engineers developed a completely new tooth profile to ensure optimal chain retention and durability when using this new chain technology. The new HG+ chain interacts quite differently with the chainring compared to a traditional Wide/Narrow design. The engineers at Wolf Tooth spent a lot of time understanding how the system works and designing a new tooth profile optimized for these chains. The specially designed tooth profile ensures the smooth operation of an HG+ drivetrain with the legendary chain retention of Wolf Tooth. It prevents premature wear of the chainring and chains that can occur due to a non-optimized profile.
