These tights cover a wide temperature range, allowing you to wear them almost the entire season. In very cold weather, you can wear breathable ski underwear underneath or a windproof overpant on top. This three-layer technique also depends on individual cold sensitivity. Did you know that wind increases the perception of cold? For example, at an outside temperature of 0 °C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the felt temperature is around -10 °C.

Windproof material reduces this effect by limiting air circulation. A waterproof membrane has the disadvantage of being less breathable. However, cross-country skiing is a very intensive sport. Therefore, there is a risk that you will sweat a lot and then get cold.

That’s why we only use water-repellent materials (water beads off the fabric) for your cross-country skiing clothing and no waterproof materials. We recommend waterproof clothing only if it is raining or snowing heavily during your trip.
