The Chifney bit is a thin metal ring that must be attached to a horse's head. The curved mouthpiece is placed inside the horse's mouth, and the lower ring is positioned under the horse's chin. The Chifney helps to lead lively and strong horses by applying pressure to the tongue and the bars in the horse's mouth. For safety reasons, the lunge line should always be attached to both the lower ring of the bit and the ring of the halter. This bit is not intended for riding.
