IWahoo has completely revamped the Speedplay pedal range that was developed 31 years ago in a California garage. All four models feature a lower stack height than their predecessors, require no regular maintenance thanks to three sealed industrial bearings and one sealed needle bearing, and can now be mounted and dismounted using an 8 mm hex key. The Speedplay Zero road pedals can take on anything. They are uniquely qualified to withstand all kinds of demands – from racing to the epic grind of a double century. The stainless steel pedals and the integrated cleat system provide optimal power transfer and exceptional durability. Thanks to the custom fit and dual-sided entry, you can confidently and comfortably step into the pedals. Attention to detail has also been applied to the entry mechanism. The Speedplay line includes two cleat options: the black standard tension version (included with Zero, Nano, and Aero) and the dark gray easy tension version (included with Comp). Both cleat options are compatible with all pedals in the new Speedplay line and are also backward compatible with all previous Speedplay Zero models. Performance enhancements across all four models – COMP, ZERO, AERO, and NANO – as well as the cleats include an adjustable float of 0-15 degrees and increased durability through a redesigned pedal body. The Zero pedal (this does not apply to the COMP, AERO, and NANO models) will also be available in four spindle lengths to ensure that individual athlete needs can be accommodated.
