The Predator reels are the perfect match for the Predator rods. They are technically identical to the XO, with the only difference being the design. The class 8/9 is an ideal size for heavier single-handed rods and switch rods. When using thin backing and monofilament running lines, the 8/9 even has enough capacity for lighter two-handed rods. The frame and spool of the Predator are machined from forged aluminum using CNC technology. The elegant design allows for thin wall thicknesses while maintaining high strength. The brake is extremely powerful and absolutely robust, known from the XLB and proven over many years. The braking mechanism is even better sealed than in previous models and is designed for the toughest saltwater use. The braking force increases very linearly within 2.5 turns, reaching an impressive maximum of 8 kg. All bearings used are made in Japan.
