Product details

Warm, mid-height cycling shoe for gravel bikers and bikepackers. The all-in-one solution may be a myth, but there are certainly comprehensive and sensible solutions for specific outdoor applications! For example, the TVL Pavei Mid Winter STX cycling shoe from Vaude, designed for gravel bikers and bikepackers who want to pursue their sport and hobby year-round. This shoe is waterproof, windproof, yet still breathable and warm! The TVL Pavei Mid Winter STX has everything needed for its intended use. Additionally, the medium-stiff, fully nylon-reinforced outsole is compatible with all common MTB clip systems and comes with a removable rubber cover.

Inside, the shoe features reinforcement in the pedal zone, which makes particular sense when used with clip pedals. The removable insole ensures high wearing comfort. And for the warmth needed especially in winter, it has a PrimaLoft lining.

Key features at a glance:

  • Waterproof and windproof, breathable
  • Insulating thanks to PrimaLoft lining
  • Compatible with all common MTB clip systems.

The Pavei from Vaude costs just 200 euros: the sole is slightly more elasticated for greater comfort, the neoprene sock seals well and provides the necessary warmth. The lace-up fastening works, but is not as comfortable as a Boa. Price-performance tip!

Cold feet are one of the biggest obstacles to getting on your bike in winter. In the TVL Pavei Mid Winter from Vaude, however, they stay wonderfully warm and dry, at least that's what our long-term test shows. The pair, equipped with a waterproof Sympatex membrane and Primaloft lining, has now covered over 2500 kilometres in temperatures as low as minus 10°C - which is only evident from the slightly...
