Vaude products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly and water-repellent without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds used for the impregnation of outer fabrics in many outdoor products. They have come under criticism as they are considered non-biodegradable, can accumulate in the body, and are suspected to be harmful to health. Vaude has made a clear commitment to completely eliminate PFCs.

With the Green Shape label, Vaude offers functional, environmentally friendly products made from sustainable materials. Fair working conditions throughout the entire supply chain are prioritized during production. The criteria for assessment are strict and transparent. They are continuously reviewed and encompass the entire product lifecycle—from design to production, care, repair, and recycling.
