The stretchy softshell fabric blocks 80% of the wind thanks to its weave, and with the PFC-free surface treatment, it also keeps light drizzle at bay, making it the ideal companion from spring to autumn. When the body heats up during rides, the pockets can be opened to function as additional ventilation openings with their mesh lining. Vaude has equipped the Cyclist Air Jacket with a full-length front zipper that is partially concealed, giving the jacket a pullover appearance. The elastic hood fits well under a cycling helmet and can be stowed away invisibly in the collar when not in use. The sleeves and back are slightly longer to provide necessary protection while in a bent riding position. As is common with cycling apparel, this model also features reflective elements. In addition to its rich functionality, it is made from bluesign® certified material: Vaude produces the functional fabric from recycled plastic waste collected in Germany and processed into granules. This process saves 54% in CO2 emissions compared to conventional manufacturing.
