The stretchy softshell fabric blocks 80% of the wind thanks to its weave, and with the PFC-free surface treatment, it also keeps light drizzle at bay, making it the ideal companion from spring to autumn. When the body heats up during a ride, the pockets can be opened to function as additional ventilation openings with their mesh lining. Vaude has equipped the Cyclist Air Jacket with a full-length front zipper that is partially concealed, giving the jacket a pullover appearance. The elastic hood fits well under a cycling helmet and can be tucked away invisibly in the collar when not in use. The sleeves and back are cut slightly longer to provide necessary protection while in a bent position on the bike. As is typical for cycling apparel, this model also features reflective elements. In addition to its rich functional features, it is made from bluesign®-certified material: Vaude produces the functional fabric from recycled plastic waste collected in Germany and processed into granulate. This process saves 54% in CO2 emissions compared to conventional manufacturing.
