Product details

The professional gauge is designed for precise measurement of chain wear. The wheel of the gauge is set to the starting position at zero. The measuring pins are inserted between the chain links, and by gently turning the wheel, the elongation of the chain is measured. The measurement scale on the wheel allows for reading the elongation or chain wear in the range of 0 to 1.2 mm. The gauge is intended for measuring 10 links of the chain. The measurement process should be repeated on different segments of the chain. Manufacturers recommend replacing the chain when the elongation or chain wear exceeds 0.5% or 0.6 mm over the length of 10 links. Please consider the manufacturer's specifications for individual chain types!.
