Our development team designed this warm fleece jacket for sailing trips with maximum comfort in cool, damp weather (7 to 10 °C). It is a lightweight, warm fleece jacket with a high collar that protects against the cold both at sea and along the coast. The breathability of this fleece jacket corresponds to its ability to wick moisture away from the body. It is measured in RET (Resistance Evaporative Transfer) according to ISO standard 11092. The RET index describes a resistance: the lower the value, the more breathable the fabric. RET 6 to 9: extremely breathable, 10–13: very breathable, 14–17: breathable, 18–20: slightly breathable, > 20: not breathable. RET fleece 100 < 12. The high stand-up collar retains body heat, and the close-fitting collar shape prevents wind from penetrating. The mesh structure of the fleece material traps air, providing natural insulation to retain body warmth. The brushed inner side helps to trap air. This fabric offers a pleasantly soft and warm wearing experience. It has been tested in the lab at a comfort temperature of 7 to 10 °C. Wind can enhance the feeling of cold, so you can wear a windproof, waterproof jacket over it if needed. It has a loose fit for unrestricted movement and maneuverability. You can wear this fleece jacket over a T-shirt or polo shirt and under your jacket when you choose your usual size.
