The Tatonka Floorsheet Tyvek is an ultra-lightweight tent footprint. It protects the tent floor from abrasion, dirt, moisture, and damage, and prevents the rise of condensing ground moisture in the vestibules. By placing your sleeping mat between the footprint and the tent floor, you can prevent your mat from slipping. What makes this tent footprint special is the material – while Tyvek looks similar to paper, it offers entirely different performance. Tyvek is a hundred percent synthetic material made from high-density polyethylene fleece. It provides the properties of a thermoplastic, high-density plastic in a semi-solid state, which prevents liquids from penetrating the surface. The fleece is lightweight, durable, breathable, and still offers high resistance to water, abrasion, bacterial infiltration, and aging. Additionally, for a footprint for a tent, tarp, or bivouac, the material provides high tear resistance and durable, long-lasting protection.
