This revolutionary 8-strand braid (7 strands of Dyneema and 1 strand of Gore) combines the performance of GORE material with the mastery of SUFIX's 8-strand braiding technology. This precision construction allows for a perfectly round and uniform braid, enhancing tensile and knot strength. GORE fibers are made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). PTFE is an inert material that is resistant to saltwater, all chemicals, and UV rays. GORE has a very low coefficient of friction, which gives this braid higher abrasion resistance, less noise and vibration, and of course, improved casting performance. Abrasion resistance.
