The original UV water purification device in a pocket format. The Classic 3 has been tested on mountains and trails for over 15 years. The SteriPEN Classic 3 is the new generation of the award-winning Classic. It is the sleekest member of the SteriPEN family, featuring improved battery life, ergonomics, and water resistance. The tapered front end fits most standard water and field bottles. With a lifespan of up to 8000 liters of treated water, it provides more than 7 years of use. All portable SteriPEN UV light water purifiers use germicidal ultraviolet (UV) light to destroy 99.9999% of all bacteria, 99.99% of all viruses, and 99.9% of all Giardia and Cryptosporidium. They purify 1.0 liters of water in 90 seconds or 0.5 liters in 48 seconds.
