Product details
No matter how much you push the SRAM X9, this crankset can handle it all. With the brand-new X9 crankset, both professional racers and experienced hobby cyclists can enjoy the unparalleled shifting speed and ease of SRAM's shifting systems. The hollow-forged aluminum crank arms keep the weight low while ensuring extreme durability.
SRAM's X-Glide technology is the common denominator that gives the chainrings an unprecedented shifting performance. There are four identical positions for upshifting, which are eagerly embraced by any outer link. The result: perfect timing, shifting up or down with almost no delay – even under load.
The GXP bottom bracket does not rely on lateral pressure to prevent bearing play, as other systems do, which can lead to premature wear of the bearings. Instead, in the GXP system, the left side of the bearing is clamped between the bottom bracket axle and the left crank arm. Meanwhile, the bearing on the drive side is axially free to move on the bottom bracket axle, and the bearings do not need to be subjected to lateral pressure during adjustment. Installation has also been greatly simplified: once the bottom bracket is secured as instructed, nothing stands in the way of a fast ride. In the GXP system, two special precision industrial bearings and a total of eight seals ensure a smooth ride and long lifespan.
