The new floating disc Sram Centerline X has been designed to achieve a consistent coefficient of friction throughout its rotation, thereby reducing vibrations, ensuring consistent performance, and providing a smooth operation. To meet the safety requirements of the UCI, Sram has rounded the edges of the discs, eliminating any 90° angles. This aims to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a mass crash in the peloton.
