Slingshot Sst

The requirements for the Sst were clearly defined before development and were consistently implemented until its market launch. Tony Logosz created a kite that has excellent drift and still responds directly to steering commands, even when fully depowered. This was made possible by the kite's Compact-C-Shape and the development of the Irs Bridle. However, the new bridle offers even more advantages for a wave kite. It effectively prevents tangling or even a line wrapping around the tip. Durability and resilience are other key criteria for a wave kite, ensuring it performs well even after a wash. For this reason, we equipped the Sst with our Slingshot Bomber Surf Tough construction. Additionally, Tony Logosz added extra reinforcements at the leading edge to reduce flutter, reinforced the one-pump valve, and outfitted the front tube with extra Kevlar patches to protect against abrasion from the bridle. All these features make the Sst not only the perfect companion for waves, but also a kite that foil enthusiasts will appreciate.
