Product details
With the brand new ICE shoe, SIMOND offers a model perfectly adapted for ice climbing and mixed mountaineering in winter. The ICE features a double Habu closure to separately adjust the upper and lower parts of the foot. Thinsulate provides good thermal insulation and is protected by a waterproof gaiter.
The ICE has been specifically designed for ice climbing. To best meet this use, we aimed for a lightweight shoe that offers maximum freedom of movement at the ankle while providing a good level of support and protection. You will also appreciate the flexibility of the shaft during demanding ascents.
- Waterproof TIZIP, sold with a lubricant
- Aluminum-coated insole to improve thermal insulation
- SMARTLITE TPU coating of the shoe for a very good balance of durability and lightness
- Integrated carbon in the midsole for good stiffness
- Shoe with a rand at the front and back, perfectly fitting Simond crampons and also suitable for models from other brands.
The ICE shoe is sold with a 1 mm thick midsole located under the insole. The volume in the shoe increases by about half a shoe size when you remove the midsole.
The HABU® tensioning system comes with a lifetime warranty. For repairs, you can contact HABU® directly.
