Silca Hirobel

Hirobel is a specially designed clamp for bicycle repair stands that makes working on your bike easier. It better distributes stresses and loads across the bike frame, offers greater stability, and simultaneously prevents potential pinching or damage to thin-walled and shaped tubes.

The pressure clamps used in today’s work stands were developed over 40 years ago for round steel tubes, long before the advent of carbon fiber, aluminum, aerodynamic, and oversized tube shapes, integrated seat posts, dropper posts, and suspension systems. These old designs assume that your bike tubes are round and straight, and when they are not, the clamp can exert very high point loads at the edges of the clamp, leading to surface damage, damage to the internal carbon layup, or even crushing of the tubes in the lightest constructions.

With Hirobel, specially shaped, paint-friendly cones and bindings encircle the frame at the tube intersections, where wall thicknesses are greater and forces can be distributed over a much larger area. Adjustable and adaptable for any possible frame design, the Hirobel also allows the repair stand clamp to be positioned closer to the bike's center of gravity, improving stability and preventing the bike from rocking during heavier work, while simultaneously raising the drivetrain for the mechanic, enhancing visibility and reducing strain on the back.
