Thanks to Servo Wave technology, the brake features a quick response and a very well-dosed pressure point. Bleeding is a breeze with the one-way bleeding system, though it's usually only necessary when shortening the brake line. The new arrangement of the clamp creates some extra space on the handlebars, for example for remote levers. Additionally, stiffness has been significantly increased. The ergonomically shaped levers can be easily operated with one or two fingers and can be adjusted within reach without tools. Shimano shifters with I-Spec EV mounts can be attached to the brake levers to secure the additional clamp lever. The Deore XT brake caliper is the solution for all braking problems. The 4-piston version provides strong braking power but can be precisely dosed in combination with the BL-M8100 brake lever. The design is optimized for quick heat dissipation, which can be further enhanced by using ICE-Tech brake pads with cooling fins. This makes longer rides in the mountains manageable. Installation is very simple thanks to the post mount, and maintenance is straightforward due to the one-way bleeding system. Intended use: All Mountain, Trial, Enduro. Caliper material: Aluminum.
