Combining the convenience of telescopic construction with a powerful, long-range casting action, the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic sits in the middle of the Shimano Tele surf range and offers a fantastic combination of high performance and value. Designed with an extra rapid tip action, this aesthetically pleasing range of rods allows you to increase power when you need more distance while retaining the sensitivity needed to get small fish biting when using light line. The Speedmaster's casting power is generated by the use of full high modulus carbon, combined with Diaflash construction in the lower part of the blank. This combination generates a remarkable top speed, which you'll certainly notice when casting weights towards the upper limit of the casting range or when facing strong winds. This superb blue blank is fitted with Fuji Fazlite K-type stainless steel rings that are corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and reduce friction. If you're using braid, you'll be pleased to know that the Fazlite ring coatings are also braid-safe. To accommodate larger reels from surfcasting, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits perfectly into the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your lower hand when casting.
