Product details
With the Alfine Di2, Shimano has expanded its premium electronic shifting system to the urban sector. The system allows for effortless gear changes at the push of a button. A small, separately available actuator motor at the hub is controlled by the shifter and initiates the shifting process immediately. The electrical energy for this is supplied by the Di2 battery, which is available in various designs.
The Inter-8 hub has increased the overall gear ratio range to 307%. In comparison, the Inter-7 has a value of 244%. Additionally, the gears of the Inter-8 are spaced closer together, allowing for a more comfortable and efficient cadence.
