Scarpa uses a highly abrasion-resistant and breathable Perspair® synthetic material for the upper, combined with a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, ensuring your feet stay dry in any weather. The absence of leather also positively impacts the shoe's weight: for an ambitious hiking shoe with such a sturdy sole, a weight of 1,300 grams per pair is very balanced. The lacing system extends far forward with durable metal details, allowing for a perfect fit, while generous padding on the tongue and shaft enhances comfort. To protect both feet and materials in alpine terrain, the Mescalito TRK Planet GTX is equipped with a raised toe and heel protection. But that's not all: Scarpa manufactures all components - upper, membrane, and sole - partially from recycled materials, significantly reducing the consumption of primary resources during production.
