Since activities in challenging terrain require high-performance and durable footwear, Scarpa equips this low-cut model with various technical features. The lightweight synthetic upper and the heavily profiled Vibram® outsole with a high rock guard create a balance between low weight and maximum grip. The unprofiled Climbing Zone at the front provides optimal hold on edges when climbing. Speaking of hold: the foot also needs to be well secured, which is ensured by the lacing that extends far forward with easy-to-use metal eyelets and soft padding on the tongue and collar. Many components of the Mescalito Planet - upper material, insole, rock guard, and lacing - are partially made from recycled materials, significantly reducing the consumption of primary resources during production.
