Savotta Side Pouch 8

Nothing fancy, but exactly what you would expect from a side pocket for your backpack. The zipper is covered for added water-repellent properties and protection against abrasion and dirt. The vertical webbing on the front keeps your backpack's compression straps neatly above the pocket, allowing you to properly compress the pocket as well. These can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners, and the like. The 8-liter side pocket fits our Jääkäri backpacks in sizes M, L, and XL.

A 25 mm webbing loop and a D-ring at the top of the back interior allow you to secure small and important items. The flat rear compartment provides rudimentary organization for smaller items. The bottom and lower half of the side walls are lined with 210D nylon for added abrasion resistance. A grommet allows for drainage of water that may enter the pocket. The two vertical attachment straps create an approximately 9 cm wide gap between them, allowing you to carry items like axes, fishing rods, etc., stowed behind the pocket.

On the back, you will find our standard PALS/MOLLE attachment strap system with insertion tabs. The middle horizontal webbing rows have been eliminated, as they provide nothing but extra weight. While we are not a manufacturer of ultralight gear, we also dislike unnecessary weight.
