The Salewa Committed symbol identifies products that meet strict internal criteria at Salewa regarding environmental and social sustainability. A Salewa product must meet two mandatory criteria as well as at least one additional criterion.

The mandatory criteria include:
1. Chemically tested: For more than 90% of the product weight, at least one of the following criteria is met: a) The main material (or the entire product) has been externally chemically tested according to the Oberalp chemical guideline, and b) The main material is bluesign-certified.
2. Control of social standards in production: The second mandatory criterion is compliance with social standards and appropriate working conditions at a production facility, which are verified by external audits.

Depending on the product, additional criteria may include upcycling, recycling, specific material compositions, PFC-free finishes, or down sourced from responsible farming.
