From the valley through alpine, rocky terrain to the summit: The Wildfire NXT is our most innovative approach shoe, offering an excellent balance of lightweight construction and durability. This approach shoe features a seamless, Kevlar-reinforced Matryx upper that combines comfort for hiking with durability and high performance for climbing. The raised heel area provides excellent cushioning and landing for the heel, which is particularly noticeable on long tours.

We have implemented our revised 3F system, developed and tested in the Dolomites: it wraps around the ankle and the outer side of the foot to promote flexibility while maintaining stability. The Gravity rand protects the foot from rocks and debris.

Beneath the foot, the agile Vibram All-Terrain Megagrip outsole – in unique Salewa design – ensures high precision while climbing, secure grip, and traction in any terrain, whether in wet or dry weather conditions.

Additionally, the approach shoe is equipped with a C.F.F. (Custom Fit Footbed) Pro insole, which provides even better arch support.
