The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking shoe with a mid-height shaft, made from robust, high-quality suede and stretch upper material, and features a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that reliably protects you on various terrains and in changing conditions. A generous rubber rand provides additional protection against rock edges and debris.

Adaptable and Comfortable
The shoe offers a precise fit, securely enveloping your foot, providing support, and is comfortable right from the first wear. Our proprietary, patented 3F System includes a steel cable that ensures a firm grip around the ankle and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar allows for more freedom of movement at the ankle and increases comfort during descents. Additionally, with the adjustable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+), you can choose between different insoles to customize the shoe volume to your needs. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows for individual tightening all the way to the toes – enhancing performance on technical terrain.

Improved Grip and Traction
The optimized Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, available exclusively from SALEWA®, enhances performance and control on a variety of mountain terrains. Its specialized climbing, traction, and braking zones, along with an aggressive lug design, ensure excellent performance even in wet and muddy conditions.
