    Absolutely poor quality

UPDATE 2: Another battery suffered a "sudden death" on Sunday when we took it out. Again RMA.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, I have to draw a sobering conclusion after one year: The quality of Magicshine is obviously poor. Both
batteries have given up the ghost within a few months, but were replaced under warranty. Now, suddenly, two lamps no longer work properly at the same time. That is, they can no longer be easily switched on and even worse, they simply go out while driving and can not be easily switched on again. It makes the impression that it is cheapest Chinaware. This is clearly an outdoor product, it is safety relevant, something like that should not be. The fact that both lights have the same problems speaks against the brand.
So again apply for RMA, explain, wait, have no lamps.... 😒

ORIGINAL COMMENT: I have now driven the light out a few times. I was initially skeptical and thought I had made a bad decision. This turned out to be wrong for my requirements. In general, I am satisfied with the light. It is bright enough to make night riding a pleasure. Judging by the reactions, more for me than for the dog walkers and other pedestrians. Their advantage: I see them in time. But they don't appreciate that at all. Especially the dog walkers do not. But I don't like them either. Sometimes there are also funny reactions from me enlightened. The white light itself is very pleasant and illuminates the surroundings well, especially now in autumn the foliage shines beautifully in it.
What I don't like is the rubber mounting, the extremely poor pressure point of the remote control and that the cable sticks out of the front of the light. The latter is a real design flaw. Also, the cheap orange could have been chosen darker, richer. I don't particularly appreciate the plastic casing either, but so far it made an acceptable impression.
The biggest flaw for me is always the rubber mounting. I find a robust clamp attachment still the best. Lamp plug in, holds. No fear that the rubber could just tear. The rubbers for the remotes are also not so the hit. I'll say it again: it needs clamps.
The design of the battery is a matter of taste, I would have preferred them a little less long. For me, this leaves only the attachment to the frame and there the battery slips through the vibrations despite rubber pads by the slightly conical design often in the direction of the seatpost. For mounting on the handlebars, the battery is just a little too long. Here, too, I find the attachment of the battery with Velcro suboptimal. Velcro wears off quickly
The taillight is superfluous for me, I use an independent taillight. Another cable to the frame to the rear would also only bother me unnecessarily.
8000 lumens are never reached. In fact, it is not even 4000 lumens. Still, it's enough to piss everyone off.

    Pro

    • Bright, but not 8000 lumens
    • Annoyed dog walkers
    • You can see the dogs
    • ...and the game, the trees, the pedestrians dressed in black
    • Pleasant light (from the driver's perspective)
    • Four brightness levels
    • Running time on the first two brightness levels
    • Spare parts situation

    Contra

    • Poor quality
    • Failures (sudden battery death/lamp just turns off)
    • Cable (unfortunately does not work without)
    • Velcro
    • Rubber fastener instead of durable clamps
    • Cable sticking out of the front of the lamp
    • Flashing mode completely unnecessary, annoying and forbidden in the front
    • Durability of the system (LEDs excluded for now)

    Would not buy again

Really bright, but the attachment is super tedious. The cable is in the way, somehow also too short, the rubbers are cumbersome, the velcro for the battery also.
    Am not really convinced.

    Very bright light

The light is really, really, really freaking bright. I only need it on the 2nd level and it is quite enough. It's never 8000 lumens, but no one needs brighter. The first light broke after only 2 weeks, right after the bring-in warranty expired. That means I had to send it in and that went about 3 weeks, until I then got a new one sent after some complaints. Now I have had no problems with it for over half a year.

    Pro

    • Bright
    • Battery life

    Contra

    • After two weeks loose contact on the battery.
    • Not 8000lumen
    • not legal on the road, because it dazzles other road users but very violently
