Perfect for night sledging ;-) With...
Perfect for night sledding ;-) Attached to the helmet with adhesive tape so that nothing slips off.
But I would buy the version without the battery (H7.2), because I won't be using the lamp that much and the battery won't last that long. On the positive side, however, the lamp can also be operated with normal batteries.
The headband is wide and therefore comfortable, but with the weight it is not really suitable for sports (jogging).Pro

Perfect little headlamp, very bright, relatively light, actually just right.
The regulation of the brightness at the back with the rotary knob also works very well.
Whether the rotary control is useful as a red rear light (continuous light or flashing) or not is up to the user, but it certainly doesn't hurt.
At the beginning, it bothered me that the switch-on brightness was always at the lowest level, but I quickly got used to it, or if you press the button again shortly after switching on, it lights up full blast, which is actually just right :-)
The adjustment range is also positively large, even my 2 small children can run around with it :-)Pro

Very good, strong luminosity. The on/off switch and lens adjustment (zoom) can also be operated well with gloves. The grid of the light angle holds even when jumping off something or jogging. 3 different modes to choose from. The red LED on the battery pack is rather weak and not suitable for road traffic.
The position of the battery pack on the back of the head is a bit cumbersome. It always tends to slide to the left. Depending on the setting of the headband. The headlamp is comfortable to wear, even for long periods.Pro

Very suitable for off-road riders. Drivers brake immediately when the headlamp is in use on the road. Super headlamp shines extremely far and illuminates a wide area, so you can also trot and gallop in the dark.

Great headlamp. Illuminates very well and provides a lot of bright light. Pleasant to wear on the head. Used in the evening for mucking out the stable and lasted me a good 10 hours at the brightest setting. Since it has a rechargeable battery, it is easy to charge.

The on/off is poorly designed for carrying in a rucksack. The lamp switches on sooner or later practically every time because it reacts to light and short pressure. Anyone who regularly wants to stow the lamp in a rucksack or handbag should not buy this model.

After having it for almost 10 years and using it often I can say that it has 2 disadvantages :
The battery lasts very short , dangerous if you take it on night trekking.
Too much weight at the back.It slips all the time and you have to adjust it or put it on hard.Uncomfortable.
The H8R is MUCH better, lighter, more comfortable and has the most durable battery of all.Pro

Sealing focusing ring / focusing mechanism
Apparently the current H7R.2 lamps from Lenser are no longer manufactured as precisely as they were 7 years ago.... :-(
7 years ago I bought such a lamp.....and am still mostly satisfied with it.....
The lamp head and the adjustment mechanism (focusing mechanism) when I bought it was very tight and without any play.
The focusing mechanism is now "worn out" due to frequent use/age...
Consequence:
More and more dust on the lens and no longer splash-proof (condensation from time to time).
(condensation on the inside of the lamp from time to time).
Remedy: a new lamp was needed!
First attempt at FUST failed (= catastrophic customer service after complaint).
Second attempt at the competition (= Digitec):
Reality after trying it out in the Kriens branch:
the brand new lamp also already has a partially "worn out" focusing mechanism.
In other words, it will probably not take 2 years before the new lamp head has as much play as the current lamp, which has already been in use for 7 years.
My opinion: = there is a better way! - The Lenser company could do it 7 years ago!
Since I got the lamp as a discontinued model and Digitec gave me another discount because of my complaint, I will confront Lenser directly with this problem.
But since there is a 95% probability that this lamp will no longer be available for purchase in 2 years anyway (discontinued model), Lenser will probably not be very "itchy" about it.
Final comment: fair deal on the part of Digitec....; rather poor on the part of lenser.

Poor quality
After only one year, glued-on padding is coming loose. Small plastic parts of the battery compartment cover have also broken off. All this with very gentle use, mostly even indoors. The battery lasts much less than stated. Very disappointing for a top brand like Ledlenser, which has otherwise only had good experiences, especially with the torches.

Many light settings and adjustment options.I bought the lamp for jogging in the dark. I have not regretted it! The H7R.2 is much more comfortable to wear than the SEO7R I had before.
