    Bright spotlight

I also use the Fenix BC30R model. It is a little less bright, but the battery is included and the operation is more comfortable.

    Downgrade from version 1

I'm really disappointed from this "version 2" of BC30 because in my eyes it's clearly a downgrade for 50% price increase.
I really liked that I can charge my version 1 with usb and kinda expected the same from v2. Don't
understand why they call it with same name just higher version like if they just improved some mistakes. Instead they do such critical changes and decide to ship it without a battery. The brightness might be higher but let's be honest who needed more than 1800? I was riding downhill in a forest in the middle of a night and never needed full power of version 1. So this upgrade is only forcing us to buy overpriced fenix batteries but doesn't bring any real upgrade.
So to summary: this version 2 gives you less features for lot more money. Just go for v1 if you can still find it somewhere.
