Designed to imitate an injured, dying baitfish, the Shadow Rap triggers the key attraction in two ways: through aggressive retrieval or with rod twitches into the slack line, then it turns around and faces the predator. During longer pauses, it slowly sinks headfirst and flutters like a dying fish. To fish in place for longer, animate it with sharp twitches or jerks.
