Rab Solar Eco 3

The Solar Eco 3 by Rab is a reliable, robust, and pleasantly lightweight synthetic sleeping bag designed for use from spring to autumn. The British equipment manufacturer exclusively uses recycled materials for the Solar Eco. The windproof outer material and the soft lining are made entirely from Atmos™, which is recycled polyester with ripstop, while the insulation is made from recycled Stratus™ material. Stratus™ is composed of 100% recycled PET bottles. The synthetic sleeping bag features a double-layer Stratus™ insulation material arranged in an accordion-like structure, effectively trapping warm air. The quilted elastic inner material hugs the body closely with the lining and insulation, thereby minimizing cold spots. By using selective quilting, the insulation is connected with as few stitches as possible to reduce the risk of cold bridges. This resource-efficient design results in a weight of under 1.4 kg, a slightly wider mummy shape for added comfort, and a small zip pocket inside for valuables. Thanks to the materials used, the sleeping bag is robust and resistant to moisture. Thus, the Solar Eco is perfect for overnight stays outdoors, climbing trips in the mountains, and for camping or bivouacking in spring and autumn. With its adjustable hood, thermal collar, and extra insulation behind the zipper, it effectively retains warmth close to the body, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
