Rab Solar Eco 2

The Solar Eco 2 from Rab is a reliable, robust, and pleasantly lightweight synthetic sleeping bag designed for positive single-digit temperature ranges. The British equipment manufacturer exclusively uses recycled materials for the Solar Eco. The windproof outer material and the soft lining are made entirely from Atmos™, which is recycled polyester with ripstop, while recycled Stratus™ material is used for insulation. Stratus™ is made 100% from recycled PET bottles. The synthetic sleeping bag features a double-layered Stratus™ insulation material arranged in an accordion-like fashion, effectively trapping warm air. The quilted elastic inner material hugs the body closely with the lining and insulation, thereby minimizing cold spots. By using selective stitching, the insulation lining is connected with as few seams as possible to reduce the risk of cold spots. This resource-efficient design results in an appealing weight of under 1 kg, a slightly wider mummy shape for added comfort, and a small zippered pocket inside for valuables. Thanks to the materials used, the sleeping bag is durable and resistant to moisture, making the Solar Eco perfect for overnight stays outdoors, climbing trips in the mountains, and for bivouacking. It is also ideal as a constant companion on European travels due to its low maintenance and compact packing. With an adjustable hood, a thermal collar, and extra insulation behind the zipper, the retained warmth stays close to the body, ensuring restful recovery at night.
