Rab Solar Eco 1

The Solar Eco 1 by Rab is a reliable, robust, and pleasantly lightweight synthetic sleeping bag designed for temperatures in the positive single digits. The British equipment manufacturer exclusively uses recycled materials for the Solar Eco. The windproof outer material and the soft lining are made 100% from Atmos, which is recycled polyester with ripstop, while recycled Stratus material is used for insulation. Stratus is made entirely from recycled PET bottles. The synthetic sleeping bag is constructed from a double-layer Stratus insulation material arranged in an accordion style, effectively trapping warm air. The quilted elastic inner material hugs the body more closely with the lining and insulation, thus preventing cold spots. By using selective quilting, the insulation lining is connected with as few seams as possible to reduce the risk of cold bridges. This resource-efficient design results in an appealing weight of under 800 g, a slightly wider mummy shape for added comfort, and a small zipper pocket inside for valuables. Thanks to the materials used, the sleeping bag is robust and resistant to moisture, making the Solar Eco perfect for overnight stays outdoors, climbing trips in the mountains, and wild camping. It is also ideal as a constant companion on European travels, as it is easy to care for and compactly packable. With an adjustable hood, a thermal collar, and extra insulation behind the zipper, the retained warmth stays close to the body, ensuring restful nights.
