No, the trainer is not always supplied with a cassette. There are versions with a pre-installed 11-speed cassette, with Zwift Cog and Click or without a cassette (cassette-ready).
The Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 is fully interactive and supports both ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth trainer control. The resistance can therefore be controlled as normal via apps such as Zwift, Rouvy or ERG mode.
We cannot remove the included cables from imported items from the packaging, so we add either the appropriate CH cable or the fixed adapter for use in Switzerland.
The supplied cassette is an 11-speed Shimano cassette that is compatible with both Shimano and SRAM 8- to 11-speed drivetrains without an adapter. An optional Wahoo SRAM XD/XDR freehub body is required for SRAM AXS and Eagle 12-speed cassettes, as these are not compatible with the standard cassette. This means that the supplied cassette is generally compatible with SRAM 11-speed systems, but a special freehub is required for 12-speed SRAM cassettes.
