Hello The device lasts about 8 hours without economy mode, i.e. continuous view of the route. Otherwise around 12h. I bought a small charger for my mobile phone. You won't have any more problems with it. You can attach it to the handlebars

I recommend the garmin Edge 830, which can be easily connected to komoot. It has good GPS reception, an accurate barometric altimeter and a long battery life.

According to the data collected, the Garmin Edge Explore is compatible with all Tacx exercise bikes that allow a connection via ANT+ or Bluetooth. The Tacx Vortex establishes this connection via ANT+ and can therefore be controlled via the device. However, it is not possible to supply power via the exercise bike. This must be done using an external USB cable.

Is this device also suitable for hiking?

What works for a bike also works for hiking. But the EDGE has been optimised for use as a bike computer (mount, buttons for operation, etc.). Therefore, I would also suggest looking at other products that have been designed for general outdoor activities. For hiking, for example, I use the Fenix.

I mean it does this via GPS. However, I am not enthusiastic about the device. Difficult to use, GPS tracks often don't work properly, battery life is barely sufficient, no auto brightness. I wouldn't buy it again. Maybe the new ones that are specifically designed for MTBs are better.

Geschwindigkeit/Trittfrequenz sensors are not included, Garmin Edge Aero as well. Both need to bought separately. The Edge Explorer package includes device, charging cable and a handle bar mounting kit (with rubber bands).
