Why use a racing martingale? Racing martingales are used to prevent a horse from raising its head above a certain height where it can be controlled. When the horse lifts its head too high, the martingale exerts leverage on the bit through the reins, encouraging the horse to lower its head.

Care instructions:
To maximize the lifespan of your martingale and avoid stains, we strongly recommend conditioning the leather after each use.
1. Use lukewarm water on a damp cloth or soft sponge to gently remove dust, dirt, and grease from the surface. Be sure to focus on the areas around the buckles and the main contact points with your horse.
2. We recommend conditioning the leather with a soap/cream sparingly, making sure to rub gently in circular motions until the entire product is absorbed.
3. Wipe off any excess soap/cream from the surface with a clean cloth.
4. Allow the leather to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat sources.
