Merino wool knitted on cotton yarn provides all the benefits of wool without direct contact with the skin. The natural fibers in wool are less likely to cause skin reactions or allergies. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture, keeping your horse dry and comfortable. Real wool is one of the most technically advanced materials available and is an excellent choice for use under your saddle.

The double adjustable Velcro straps make grooming easy. This half pad is suitable for everyday use and competitions, and it is fully machine washable.

Our new spine design was developed to reduce pressure points and provide optimal protection for your horse. With a larger surface area covering the entire panel area under the seat, the natural fibers effectively wick moisture away from the skin, distribute pressure evenly, and facilitate shock absorption.

Traditional spine designs can create pressure at the seams, leading to chafing, sores, and uneven pressure distribution. To prevent this, all Premier Equine merino wool saddle pads have been designed without a clear spine to enhance comfort and protect your horse.
