Its unique design makes it the fastest helmet POC has ever developed – also thanks to the collaboration with the Cannondale-Drapac ProCycling Team, the aerodynamic specialists from the in-house Watts Lab, as well as countless CFD simulations and tests. The special design of the Ventral directs air through the helmet rather than around it. This reduces the drag behind the helmet and thus enhances aerodynamics. Additionally, the Ventral Spin features its own zones embedded in the EPS for optimized airflow. The pressure generated by this supports the Venturi effect, which describes a fast airflow, thereby increasing speed and aerodynamics. The airflow zones also have the effect of cooling the head, which benefits the wearer and their performance. The airflow directed over or around the helmet is facilitated by the Ventral's unique shape. The finishing edge at the back of the head reduces air turbulence while ensuring a longer linear airflow to the rear. The Ventral also includes POC's patented new Spin technology, which reduces the rotational energy impacting the head during falls with oblique impacts. This is achieved through the simple use of new gel pads that sit directly on the wearer's head and can slide against each other in any direction. This allows the helmet to move relative to the head, dissipating energy and preventing it from impacting the brain during a fall. Despite its lightweight construction, the Ventral Spin features a secure unibody design and an EPS core that provides a perfect balance between weight and safety. Thanks to its easy size adjustment system in both circumference and height, the Ventral is comfortable to wear. The revised "Eye Garage" ensures a secure hold for glasses on the helmet.
