Product details

Thanks to innovative thermoplastic film, the new Smartube from Pirelli is incredibly lightweight, with a volume that is less than half that of a standard butyl tube. Compared to standard tubes, the Smartube is up to 65% lighter. The bright yellow tube also impresses in terms of puncture safety and is twice as robust as conventional tubes. Outside of the tire, the Smartube should not be inflated beyond 0.5 bar. The material is less elastic than butyl, expands more significantly starting at 0.5 bar, and can lose its shape or even burst when not mounted. Compatible with disc and rim brakes.
