The Park Tool BTS-1 is a precision tool set designed for accurate cutting work on bottom bracket threads. The clever part: once you have cut the threads, the inserts serve as guides for facing the ends (facing tool included in the set). The BTS-1 comes standard with English cutting taps BSA 1.37” x 24 TPI right-hand thread for the left adjustable bearing cup and 1.37” x 24 TPI left-hand thread for the right fixed bearing cup. Italian cutting taps 36 x 24 TPI (right-hand thread) for both the left and right bearing cups are available as accessories. The BTS-1 is essential for any professional workshop. With the facing attachment, a clean and smooth bottom bracket face is created before installing the bottom bracket.
