Swiss sheep wool meets Tasmanian lightness: The Westalpen Swisswool Hybrid high-altitude jacket for women is a unique combination of the Swiss insulation material Swisswool and Merino fleece grid material with Tasmanian Merino wool on the inside. The 70 g/m² Swisswool filling is used wherever additional protection and warmth are needed. This sustainable Swiss sheep wool is packed into a stretchy, breathable, and wind-resistant Swisswool Tec-Stretch material.

Tailored to the lightweight filling and the elastic outer material, our Merino fleece grid is incorporated into the hybrid jacket: The fleece material not only provides plenty of freedom of movement and feels pleasant against the skin, but also has a high heat retention capacity thanks to its channel structure. Additionally, the Tasmanian Merino wool on the inside regulates moisture and temperature, is soft against the skin, and has natural odor-neutralizing properties.

The combination of Swisswool in the chin area and fleece grid material in the neck ensures optimal climate comfort. The backpack-optimized chest pocket offers storage space for bars, a phone, or a map. In the Merino fleece lines, Ortovox uses the finest Merino wool on the inside along with polyester on the outside. The special feature of the Merino fleece grid is its waffle structure on the inside: This knit construction makes the material lightweight, provides adequate ventilation, and simultaneously shows high insulation capabilities. The Swisswool Tec-Stretch material is a special polyamide that offers protection while allowing freedom of movement. As a wind- and water-resistant as well as breathable outer layer, Tec-Stretch perfectly complements the Swisswool filling and emphasizes the excellent weight-to-insulation ratio.
