But that's exactly what we should do! How do I clean my stalking boots properly?1. Remove the laces and inner sole: This prevents dirt from settling unnoticed in the small gaps.2. Remove dirt from the surface and sole with a coarse brush: Tip: Take a small brush with you in your rucksack or car. This way you can remove the coarsest dirt immediately after stalking.3. Clean the outside and inside of your shoes with lukewarm water: After a short soaking time, you can clean the shoes with a sponge or a soft (!) brush.4. Let the shoes dry properly: Do not expose them to direct heat such as a heater or oven! This can cause leather shoes in particular to become brittle and tear. Better: Stuff hunting boots with kitchen roll or newspaper and put them in the boiler room or on the balcony.What do I have to keep in mind when caring for my stalking boots?Leather hiking boots need to be waxed regularly to keep them supple and prevent them from drying out.
