Hybrid Surfboard 8', a must-have for regular surfers seeking glide in medium and non-powerful waves. This model features reinforced fin boxes to enhance stability. The board comes with three fins.

It is a hybrid board that is hand-coated. The foam is made of EPS 30 kg/m3. The top has three layers of fiberglass (4 oz, 6 oz, 6 oz), the bottom has two layers of fiberglass (6 oz, 6 oz), and the rails have two layers of fiberglass (6 oz, 6 oz). It is equipped with epoxy resin hot coat PU and a 5 mm Paulownia wood stringer.

The board has a low rocker, a single concave at the front, and a vee at the back to facilitate rail-to-rail transitions. With this mini-Malibu hybrid, you can surf a variety of wave types, except for barrels or very large hollow waves. It is easy to maneuver and catches even the smallest waves. The board comes as a thruster setup with three FCS1 type fins.

Dimensions: 8' × 22'' × 3" (244 cm × 56 cm × 7.6 cm). Weight: 5 kg without fins +/- 200 g. Volume: 62 l. When purchased online, the board is packaged in a Flexi-Hex® paper honeycomb protective cover and shipped in a sturdy box. There is no more plastic packaging. This protective cover is reusable to protect the board during travel.

We chose this surfboard construction because it offers numerous advantages. Epoxy resin is more resistant to impacts and dents than polyester resin, making the board more durable. The board becomes more responsive and can gain more speed. The EPS foam (expanded polystyrene) floats better, providing more buoyancy at the same volume compared to a board made of polyester/polyurethane.

The board comes with three fins for FCS1 boxes. When the fins are positioned in the plugs, tighten the screws loosely with the included hex key.
