The power is introduced via the XC12 carbon sole. Direct and effective, thanks to the 100% carbon inserts in the pedal area and a 12.0 stiffness index (a unit of measurement that defines stiffness on a scale from 0 to 15). Strategically placed TPU inserts allow for high slip resistance and abrasion resistance. The upper shoe features a patented, ultra-light XFrame and an overlap construction made of the most innovative materials: it perfectly wraps the foot, avoids pressure points and transmits every watt of power to the drivetrain without loss.Thanks to the latest technologies, we were able to save 5% weight in the rubber protector area and still guarantee its abrasion resistance and unique 360° protection over the entire shoe. Easy adjustment and a consistent fit is ensured by the SLW2 twist closure system. The only one of its kind, it ensures millimetre-precise adjustment and adaptation of the shoe with its micro-step grid. The new Easyfit Climaflex entry area combines the extreme flexibility of the Gore-Tex Rattler membrane with the high thermal insulation of neoprene and guarantees mobility as well as cold/wet protection. The ergonomic heel shape with its anatomical fit thanks to the latest thermoforming technology combined with our Arctic 4Layer insole made of EVA + Aluminium as well as EVA + Pile ensures excellent thermal insulation. The 360° reflective inserts ensure greater safety in poor visibility conditions.
