North Sonar Mast Shim

Shimming the mast under the leading edge trims the board nose-up and helps you achieve a more comfortable stance and control over the board at higher speeds. When you push the mast under the tail edge, the board is trimmed nose-down at lower speeds (e.g., when pumping, dock starting, or downwind), allowing the foil to engage earlier.

Note: North boards and foils are designed to work together for their respective disciplines without the need for a shim. However, the mast shim can be useful when mixing different board and foil brands or using a specific board or foil in conditions for which it was not designed.
