Upper - An open mesh upper made from Bio-Dyneema® and recycled materials is incredibly strong and featherlight. The fabric ensures maximum breathability and quick water drainage. Midsole - The 005 features a completely pure Arnitel® (TPEE) midsole, unlike anything ever used in a shoe before. This makes the 005 incredibly lightweight and responsive while also being very durable. While most super shoes are designed for race day, the 005 has been developed for race days - in plural. Outsole - A brand new, continuous, one-piece outsole featuring the world’s first release of Vibram® Mega Grip Elite rubber. This is the grippiest and lightest rubber compound ever developed by Vibram®. The enhanced traction of Mega Grip Elite allows for varying stud heights, enabling seamless transitions between technical trails and natural roads. Fit/Feel - The 005 features a proprietary Fit-Lock system designed for race day. The heel collar is equipped with pods to secure the foot, enhance comfort, and prevent dirt intrusion. The tongue is made from smooth, perforated microsuede that conforms to the foot and allows heat to escape during high running intensity. The Fit-Lock system is complemented by a new internal foot lacing technology activated through the shoelaces, ensuring lasting stability. Drop/Stack - 7 mm (Heel: 28.5 mm, Forefoot: 21.5 mm). Weight - At 211 g (for US M 8.5) and 177 g (for US W 8), this is the lightest full-stack super shoe ever developed for trail running.
