The brand-new ReactX foam midsole is 13% more responsive than the previous React technology. The ReactX foam was designed with a focus on performance and the planet. The CO2 footprint of two midsoles is reduced by at least 43%, as less energy is required for their production compared to the previous Nike React foam. The CO2 footprint of ReactX is based on a Cradle-to-Gate assessment verified by PRé Sustainability B.V. and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates, or other types of foam were not considered.
